The brief
In this home the kitchen had to hide a lot: a passage to the utility room, a coffee corner and plenty of storage, without making the room feel busy.
The design
The solution is one continuous wall of cabinets. Behind one of the fronts is the passage to the utility room. Behind folding doors is a fully equipped coffee corner that you open when you need it and close again when guests arrive. That keeps the kitchen calm.
Materials and details
- Crown-cut oak veneer with a band-saw pattern: fine grooves that catch the light and give the wall depth.
- Folding doors that swing fully out of the way, so the coffee corner is easy to reach.
- A rendering beforehand, so the proportions and the pattern were clear from the start.
Hidden functions, one calm picture: made-to-measure work that makes the room work better.
